Review of Bait-al-Naboodah Museum
The Bait Al Naboodah, affiliated with Sharjah Museums Authority umbrella is a certain scene stealer.
An original coastal house in the heart of Sharjah (near Al Marjiha area), catering to a traditional Emirati ambience in a antique dwelling that has been refurbished & restored to not only promote an authentic setting but also enable the visitor engulf the true physical essence of this Arab style living.
We were invited to a local breakfast that encompassed a quick PowerPoint presentation, various simple classical dishes of this region, a demonstration of a popular milk dessert & a detailed brewing process of the exotic coffee beans or "qahwa" as it is famously named.
Breakfast was delicious, delectable- the date pudding, a sure winner. List of the menu served is worth a watch in the pictures below.
With a theatre, art centre, a rain house, a tea house, a calligraphy centre & more, all within its vicinity, Bait Al Naboodah is a conscious effort to welcome, widen & import wisdom to one's worldly view on the United Arab Emirates.
A must see for the local, expat & foreign visitor to this country.
